focus for 2025
Most years, I get swept up with all kinds of different priorities and often look back asking whether I really did the things I wanted to do. That being said, I rarely have much of a plan, and life has a way of creating one for you.
Next year, I would like to try and focus on a few things and see how far I can get with them. I suppose these are a set of resolutions for 2025:
My job is fast-paced and almost always stressful. It asks a lot of me and I usually say yes. Next year, I want to step back from work and try to take myself out of the centre of things. In the end, it's better that I focus on the things that really matter.
I've dipped in and out of learning Japanese since college, never really committing to it. Since visiting Japan last year and becoming interested again in the culture, I would really like to try and pass an NLPT test by the end of next year.
After a long period of being out of shape, I'm finally fit and healthy again. I've been enjoying focusing on bodyweight exercises and would like to train for some of the skills.
I've been interested in training in psychoanalysis for years, ever since I completed my master's degree. The time has come to make a decision about whether to really pursue it. I won't start training next year, but I would like to prepare the ground for 2026.
